Finally I am a teacher!

Finally, after 30 years of crunching numbers, analysing financial data, going through the daily grind of work, eating unhealthy food and some good investment decisions, I decided that its time for me to enjoy the fruitage of my labour.

I also knew that early retirement has its own pitfalls, one of them being too bored staring at the four walls of my house everyday after I am done with swimming, running, doing DIY projects around the house, etc.

So, I thought I should try to teach either Economics or Accounting since my education background is in these two subjects. I have also been teaching during my free time whilst working.

I got a job as a part time teacher with a home school center on my first day of job hunting. I was driving around my area and saw a building with a big banner "IGCSE Teachers Wanted". Went straight into the principal's office and asked the principal whether there are any vacancies. Offered a job as an Economics and Business Studies teacher after 15 minutes of interview. Of course, later I had to do a demo teaching session before the offer letter was issued to me.

After 30 years of working, finally I am a teacher! Looking forward to my second career...
